Become the danger lurking beneath the surface of the high seas in Sea Wolf by Coastal Amusements.

Sea Wolf and the sequel Sea Wolf The Next Mission are remakes of the 1976 arcade classic Sea Wolf by Midway. This new version plays in a similar manner to the original – enemy boats will criss-cross the water way from either side of the screen. Your goal is to take out as many boats as possible before the timer or your torpedos run out. That’s right – you only have a limited amount of ammo so no sprayin’ n’ prayin’ here! Play for the high score or for tickets (operator adjustable) as you use the submarine periscope like controller to aim and fire. Do note that unlike the original, this does not use a periscope viewer but everything else about the experience fits with the original. The graphics and sound have been modernized and The NExt Mission software upgrade includes more areas, enemy mines (which can block your shots) and other features to make it more of a complete game.

Coastal Amusements released three versions of the game total: The sit-down version pictured above with a rumble seat and ability to link to other units for a progressive jackpot bonus; The Next Mission which added some of the aforementioned features along with a new 26″ and 32″ upright cabinet design; and finally Sea Wolf 55, a deluxe version of the game sported a huge cabinet and added more levels, more obsctacles such as bridges and aerial enemies that you must fight off using a machine gun.
