The battle of good vs. evil is ready to play out in arcades around the world as Stern Pinball brings The Uncanny X-MEN back to the scene. This listing is for the Premium model. You can find the Pro model, here.

Stern Pinball had previously created a pinball machine based upon the popular Marvel Comic series, but that used a much older hardware platform. This new game updates not just the insides, but comes at us with a completely new layout and design. The design team is led by fan favorite Jack Danger, who previously created the Foo Fighters pinball machine. The story and theme are based upon the Days of Future Past storyline, which had been originally published back in 1980, and has been portrayed in animated shows and on movie screens.

For the game, it uses a design that is as uncanny as the X-MEN themselves are. There are three flippers for ball control, the main pair being offset to the right from the standard center of the machine. The third flipper is at the bottom left of the game(called the Danger Room), and there are various ramps with unusual shots and exciting loops for players to experience. The player’s attention will also be drawn to the giant Sentinel head bash toy that sits in the center-right of the playfield; directly below that is Magneto’s Magnet, which can not only capture the ball, but result in some wild effects. The game also features eight unique modes featuring iconic X-Men fighting key villains – this includes: Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Bishop, Kitty Pryde, Magneto, and more. The game also deploys 3 multiballs and there are mini-Wizard modes!

Premium models come with their own unique art package and feature a deeper design to the gameplay. The Sentinel head is motorized, while there are a pair of motorized Sentinel hands on the playfield which can interact with the ball. There is also a sculpted Wolverine model in the upper left back, and a “Beast Lab” elevated captive ball vari-target.
