Based upon the 2013 pinball machine that was designed by John Borg (KISS, Aerosmith, Guns ‘N Roses, TRON Legacy and many others), this remaster features the same layout as that game, but packs a punch thanks to geometry enhancements for smoother shots and fewer stuck balls, new artwork with UV enhancements by Rhys Cooper, new songs, over 1,000 new callouts including new lines recorded by the band, an LCD screen with footage from Metallica’s concerts and other animations, updated mechanics, Stern’s modern SPIKE-2 hardware which also powers the new Expression Lighting System. These features plus Insider Connected brings this beloved pinball classic into the 2020s and is sure to be a rock star among pinball selections.

Three new sculptures have been designed for this experience: Sparky, the Hammer, new RGB-illuminated Skulls, and a new Metallica logo spell-out on the back panel. Combined with durability improvements and UV lighting, you’ll feel like you’re at a Metallica concert, but made just for you.

Eight additional songs have been added to the song roster, bringing the total to twenty-two. The gameplay rules have also been expanded and improved, while adding two additional game modes that are based upon Metallica’s two most recent albums. There is also a new “Blackened” Wizard mode to reward the most skilled players.
