Derby Day takes the classic horse derby arcade concept, as in the kind that used electromechanical horses, and updates it for today. This provides for a type of multiplayer gaming experience that you not only can’t get at home, it’s not one that you would find in most other arcades out there. There are four player stations, where players control the speed of their horse by rolling balls into the targets that are down the lane and near the monitor. This makes it a kind of mini-alley bowler game. Depending on which targets the ball goes into, it will determine what speed your horse runs at. Stack better hits to make them go faster and reach the goal on the right side of the screen first!
