Ski Hero is a modern skiing arcade game that is only available in arcades. Hop onto the cabinet which uses a swivel platform to simulate a pair of skis, then chose one of four characters to play as, then one of two slopes (Extreme Mountain or Exotic Landscapes), and start your descent! The game is not just about skiing, it’s also about racing to the bottom of the hill, as you also have three other rivals you compete against. The game can link up to four units at a time; any player spot not handled by a human is filled in with a computer-controlled NPC. In true arcade fashion, this offers a hyper-realistic version of skiing, where the action is amped up to where you want to perform crazy stunts by jumping off of ramps and cliffs to earn more points. It also functions as a ticket game if you wish to set it that way.
