Standing out from many other light-gun games on the market, which usually have you shooting zombies, robots, or ghosts, Phantom Vanguard puts the player into the role of a modern group of soldiers who are battling it out with well-armed and well-trained bad guys. Fortunately, you are a force to reckoned with, thanks to an extensive arsenal of weapons – from your normal machine gun, to drones, to electrical weapons, to heavy artillery.

The gun that you use in this is different from any other light-gun game on the market. Everyone else either has a gun that is mounted to the cabinet, or tethered – Phantom Vanguard does both. The gun is normally held in both hands, but when the game calls for it, slide the gun into the swivel mount and it turns into a heavy artillery or high caliber weapon. Combined with the dual vertical screen set up, this makes for a game that captures attention and keeps customers coming back for more.
