501 Entertainment is best known for their creation of the revolutionary SMARTS Augmented Reality Darts system. Now, they are bringing that same technical wizardry to mini-golf. There’s no need for setting aside thousands of square feet to setup an Interactive Mini-Golf system; at 94″ wide by 159″ deep, it’s a little larger than a typical environmental game cabinet or a pair of large basketball arcade units. This footprint allows two individuals to compete as they putt the golf balls into the target holes, located at the back of the putting green. A large microLED display sits at the back and embues the experience with visual interactivity, while the target holes use RGB LEDs to also indicate active targets.

One feature that amps up the need for skill is the raised bonus hole. If a player manages to get a ball there, it will unlock temporary powers to get ahead in the current game. Also of note, there are several mini-games, with the potential to have more added to the platform in the future, thanks to the integrated 501 Hub software platform.
