What happens when you bring an award-winning, top-selling PC game into the arcade scene and innovate the concept? You get Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars by LAI Games.

Cyberpunk 2077 was initially released to PCs and select game consoles in 2020, and went on to sell millions of copies. It is a series known for pushing boundaries of gaming tech, and now that same idea is being applied to Turf Wars. This arcade adaptation takes the Cyberpunk 2077 setting and themes of futuristic tech, and combines it with a traditional shooting gallery game. This gives us a “Mixed Reality” video game, where projection mapping is used on a variety of surfaces, to create a look that is impossible to achieve with any home gaming device. Instead of a flat screen, players will see a staggered set of shelves, each with a dozen drop targets on each of the four rows. These targets also have images dynamically projected onto them, representing the bad guys that players need to take out.

What’s more is that the game features a pair of mounted airsoft rifles, which fire real pellets at the targets, thus physically knocking them down. Operators will not need to worry about liability – the guns are mounted to the cabinet and have their motion physically limited to the area of the cabinet itself. They are also encased by a plexiglass chamber, while the holes that the barrels of each gun poke through have netting that further prevents any ricochets from happening and leaving the game.

These features all work together to present a unique game without equal, using a license that is instantly recognizable by gamers around the world. The game features three game modes: Story, Versus, and Sniper, which will keep players engaged and coming back for more.
