Stern Pinball has officially unveiled Pokémon as their first milestone release of 2026. This brings the legendary franchise to arcades, leading the way for pinball as they seek to appeal to younger audiences.

 Developed in collaboration with The Pokémon Company International, this new machine blends nostalgic elements from the original animated series with Stern’s latest hardware platform to create a feature-rich, operator-friendly attraction. Powered by Stern’s SPIKE 3 technology, Pokémon by Stern Pinball invites players to step into the role of a Trainer and “catch ’em all” in a dynamic, battle-driven playfield experience. The core objective centers around shooting the illuminated and mechanically animated Poké Ball target to capture Pokémon and build a complete collection.

The game takes players across four distinct habitats, where they discover and bond with fan-favorite Pokémon. The playfield features Pokémon-themed ramps, spinners, and targets, along with a lively animatronic Pikachu that reacts to gameplay. Battles are central to the experience, as players face rival Trainers and confront Team Rocket in custom battle sequences. One of the standout interactive elements is the Meowth Balloon toy, which swoops down into the battle arena to challenge the player mid-game.

Premium and Limited Edition models add an interactive electromagnet beneath the playfield, introducing unpredictable ball movement and added intensity during arena battles.
