Few films were as iconic and influential as The Wizard of Oz. Now with the movie celebrating 85 years in existence, Raw Thrills is bringing a new “WOZ” experience to arcades with this official game.

Raw Thrill’s interpretation of The Wizard of Oz combines the simple fun of a ticket redemption game, with a deeper complexity that comes with a card collecting game. Players will first be impressed with this game’s towering size, which is achieved by using two 55″ vertically-oriented screens which are stacked to present one super tall image. They also will be dazzled by the game’s giant glowing orb for a controller. To play, insert/swipe a credit, then spin the orb. The imagery on the screens have different WOZ characters against colored backgrounds; these will ‘spin’ around, eventually stopping where a pair of pointers are located. Where ever the pointers are at, that’s what you win.

If you stop on a colored box, it will be checked, slightly leveling up the value of the other boxes within that color. There are five colors total, so you will want to get all of them checked before landing on the ultimate box, the Rainbow Bonus. There are also smaller bonuses like the Twister Bonus. Either way, every time you spin, you’ll win tickets! You can also double the value of everything by choosing to “Double Up” when the game begins. If you do so, press the Double Up button then insert/swipe another credit, and all values will be 2x what they were before.

There are eight collectible cards, which you can keep or turn into the location for more tickets. The value depends on what the location assigns to it. Collect all of the cards and turn them in for the biggest bonus ever! Also, locations can recycle the cards – no authorization cards are needed.
