Vortex is a type of sequel to Coastal’s ticket redemption game Black Hole. It comes with a similar look and set up, but bigger with improved hardware. How it plays is based upon physics, making it a skill-based game. Credit the game up, then a ball will drop into the plunger launcher. The plunger is similar to a pinball machine plunger, so how far back you pull it determines how much force is applied to the ball. Once launched, the ball goes into the spiral, slow-spinning playfield, where there are numerous target holes on the playfield, only one of them wins the Bonus (which is denoted using RGB LEDs and a red numerical LED counter).
