Description

The hit kids toy that lets you pop bubble endlessly is now a big and colorful arcade game with Pop It! by Touch Magix.

Using the Pop It! license, the game offers a unique twist on the ball drop style gameplay that is popular among redemption games. Players control the ball drop mechanism which here operates like a claw machine – move it around left to right/forward to back by using the joystick controller. The mechanism features a projected image of a target crosshair, showing where the ball is most likely to drop. Instead of having a rotating platform for balls to fall into (like most ball drop redemption games), there are 64 fixed target holes below, each with a color LED ring. These correspond to the image on the backboard screen, where the goal is to “pop” the unpopped virtual bubbles from the toy. The game offers bonus incentives to get players to keep playing, beyond the allure of tickets.
